Pregnancy, Hormones, and Tears... Oh my!

Megan might kill me for this post, but it's kind of funny, so I will take my chances.  If this is my final post and Megan does decide to murder me, I just want to the you know that I would like "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen to be played at my funeral.

So Megan has been a little on the emotional side recently.  Not the bad, "I hate you, stop breathing like that or I'll kill you," emotional, but more of a "oh my gosh, that is the sweetest thing in the world, it's going to make me cry," kind of emotional.  Her recent posts show a little of this emotion, "How to make a grown woman cry," and "Baby Charlie."

Yesterday we where making Koby a DVD of different youtube videos and Megan showed me one of Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and the Sesame Street gang singing a song called "What I am."  She was smiling as she watched, and asked me, "Doesn't this just melt your heart?  I think I am going to cry..."  I said, "Sure, it's cute, but I don't think I'm going to cry about it."  Within seconds tears of joy/pregnancy hormones were flowing down Megan's cheeks.  It was pretty funny.

Here's the video, let me know if it makes you cry:

I love that song! It did melt my heart and made me smile but I'm pregnant too and didn't cry or get emotional even. But maybe since I'm on baby number 6 my hormones are a little diluted? Who knows?

I did cry....but it was because I laughed so hard. But you know I've been watching all the films of Japan and I think that this blog was a kind of release. I laughed once at a funeral.

TO JAMES: You crack me up!! I am so glad you put this on -- beautiful!
TO MEGAN: That's my girl, Meg!!! It shows how much you are in tune right now to the special and important role you have in the lives of these little ones you are bringing into the world. I can totally see myself getting emotional over this when thinking of how much a mother wants her children to grow up feeling good about who they are -- especially on the heels of what your sister and her husband just went through! Each little life is a gift to us to treasure . . . and a miracle!! (Love you guys, Mom)

I love the song too- heard it the other day, but nope- no crying! But it is so true that being pregnant makes you cry at weird things! I think it is awesome.

I thought it was cute, but not cry worthy (and at 39 weeks pregnant too). I do cry more easily than usual though, so I get where Megan is coming from.

I TOTALLY cried, and I'm not pregnant. And Dave cried too, though he tried not to let me see.

You must just be heartless, James.

Just kidding. Neither of us cried. Moose was crying for part of it, but I don't think it had anything to do with the video : )

uh... is it just me or does he look high throughout this whole video??? I couldn't focus on the words or the message or anything because I kept trying to figure out if he was "special" or not. (Even though I know he's not.) Made me laugh a lot though!!

@Megan- I didn't cry, but I have a feeling you did because you were picturing your son watching this and learning and growing with/from it. Too soon he will be in High School...
Anything that gets you thinking about your kids growing up is cry worthy!
Let me know if I'm kind of right! Maybe you are just hormonal, but really, I cry at parades (even when I'm not pregnant)! ;o)
