Very Verbal

At 15 1/2 months Koby can...

-say anything you ask him to
-repeat the entire alphabet (letter by letter)
-count to 3 all on his own!
...The other day he saw a picture of his Great Grandpa making peace signs and he said, "Bampa, Two, Two!"

Talking babies make life a whole lot easier.

Rock Climbing

Shane(aka Spider-man) took us rock climbing outside last weekend. It was so different from climbing indoors at the Quarry. It was hard, but pretty sweet too. Luckily we've been practicing our pull ups lately...

So crazy story, when we were climbing there was this kid climbing next to us trying to set up his group's ropes. He got his carabiner hooked onto the rock and then went to put his rope in and missed. We heard a girlish scream and looked over to see him fall a good 10 feet before the guy belaying caught him. It was scary.

Shane did all of our free climbing to set up the ropes. He goes climbing multiple times a week and climbs better than Spider-man. He took some sweet pictures for us too.

Just another day...

...in the life of Koby. Poor baby. He has a big flap of his lower gums flipped back and hanging over his teeth for now. I'll be amazed if he makes it to age 2 with all of his teeth.

My weekend:)

May 9th: A Double Day -My Birthday and Mother's Day.

I was spoiled this weekend. The weather is getting nice again and we were able to do lots of fun outdoor things.

Friday James and Steve watched Koby and Janelle and I went shopping:)

Then Saturday morning we headed to Shane's house for breakfast and a hike. Shane and Em cooked us a birthday breakfast- all Shane's idea. While at Shane's house Koby gave us a scare...

We ate on the patio outside. While we were eating, Koby was in heaven playing catch with Shane's dog. He would throw the ball, the dog would catch it in the air, and Koby would crack up as the dog put the ball back at Koby's feet. All of a sudden Shane looks up and takes off running...James and I turn around to see Koby's head poking out of a little pond in the corner of the yard(and he appeared to be smiling). The ball went in the water, so the dog went in the water, so Koby went in the water. Don't think we're bad parents - Koby is very active and very fast. Shane saved the day. He ran in the water and pulled Koby out, dripping wet head to toe. The pond was only about 1 1/2 - 2 feet, but it was still scary.

After we were done waiting around for Koby's pond clothes to dry, we headed up the canyon for a hike. We found out Koby is a bit big for the front carrier - we will soon be investing in a back pack for him. The hike was so much fun!

Saturday night Lisa watched Koby and let James and I go out to dinner. If you have not been to Tacanos on Mother's Day weekend you need to go! They added tons more meat, one of which I could eat everyday for the rest of my life - Teriyaki Beef! And chocolate covered strawberries:) My mouth has begun to water just thinking of it. After window shopping at the Gateway we headed to the Cheesecake Factory to gain another pound or two - Snickers Cheesecake! It was so nice to go on a date just the two of us. I have never been one to enjoy spending money on eating out, but it was amazing.

Sunday after church we headed to Provo. We played at the park by Emily's house and ate some delicious Strawberry Shortbread scones that Em made for me:) Then we headed to Kawanis Park for some Slacklining fun with Shane. It is waaaay harder than it looks by the way.

James, Em, and Shane spoiled me this weekend. It was the funnest 23rd birthday:)
