Making the ancestors proud...

For Grandma Takako...

Every time we sing "Head Shoulders Knees and Toes" with Koby he says,"Sing it in Japanese". He usually says most of the words. The other day he was playing in his toy room and I heard him saying,"Atama, Kata, Hiza, Shi, Hiza, Shi, Hiza, Shi!" (Toes should be Ashi)

He also loves to count in Japanese. He says, "Ni, San, Shi, Go, Moku ... Hachi, kyuu, Juu"...He misses one and seven and says Moku instead of Roku, but pretty good for the little Quarter-Asian:)

James can correct all my misspellings. They aren't the best, but here is what we could get on video:

So cute! No worries...I'm not even a quarter Okinawan and my Mom taught me all kinds of things in Japanese :)
