Oh Sundays.

Sundays are interesting. I don't think the 3-hour church block has ever seemed so long until we had Koby. I should have enjoyed when he was a newborn at church more. James and I generally take turns with him in Sacrament and Relief Society/Priesthood. On my week, I feel lucky if I come out of church remembering one important thing. He is pretty distracting. When he is not trying to make a run for the piano in R.S., he is playing Peek-a-Boo with the people sitting behind us. We teach a Sunday School class of 17 fifteen year olds. Koby is constantly trying to steal their candy, scriptures, and anything else they have under their chairs.

Something funny I noticed on Sunday is... Koby waves his hand in the air whenever we start singing a hymn. I was watching him and realized he was staring towards the front of the chapel at the director and trying to lead the music along with her. We may have a future Craig Jessop.

As fun as he is, we can't wait til he can go to nursery!!

Little fishy

I think Koby would live in the water if he could. I'm pretty sure he rubs his PB&J all through his hair on purpose so he can take 2 baths a day.

Lehi has this rec center with a really fun indoor pool. It has slides, baby jumpy swings, lazy river, tropical fort, etc. And its cheap. Friday we went with the Craig's. Anna, Koby, and even 3-month old Luke couldn't get enough! Both Koby and Anna's lips turned blue and still they would not get out. I would take Koby out and dry him off; Then he would climb off my lap and run in. He even went down this huge water slide with James. (James held him above his head)

So I don't think the terrible two's are the problem. I think the hard time is when they are little and have a hard time communicating. Koby has begun to throw tantrums. One minute he is smiling and happily playing with his vacuum and the very next minute it begins...

You'll know when one starts because his little body goes floppy, he folds in half and throws himself on the floor. haha. You can't help but laugh. I even took a picture. I don't entertain his tantrums, so I am hoping they'll only last for a little bit. He's a treat:) and I love him.

Little Toddler

*Koby loves: Elmo, Big Bird, Books, Clocks, and of course BALLS!

We are pretty sure Koby will be the kid that is sure to give us a run for our money. He has already had 2 dripping bloody noses, and fallen straight on his head twice. He is very active and loves to climb anything and anyone. He calls every older man he sees "Bampa", but he can recognize his own grandpas in a picture or a crowd:) This age is so fun. I love all the words he is beginning to say. And love how he understands most anything.

We didn't do the traditional big party for Koby's first birthday, but we did have a fun, "special" day. We went to the Bean Museum at BYU. We've never been there before. It's pretty cool, and Koby loved the animals! Koby also had his friend Anna (and her little brother Luke) over to play for his birthday. AND he got his very own cupcake! (NO cake b/c of the cheesecake incident).

He loved his presents too. Thanks everyone!
